Purina makes the Busy Bone – a treat that my friend gave me to try with Lilo.
I was unsure of how long this seemingly soft treat would last but I figured I’d give it a shot as hey – a free treat.
Entertainment Value/Enjoyment(Me: 2/10, Lilo: 7/10): Lilo went berserk for this treat, she was so excited to eat it and just took at it as best she could. For myself, well, see the next category.
Smell(3/10): This one had a smell to it, drove Lilo nuts and me as well, just in different ways.
Per Day Limit: Once again consult your vet. This was a fairly large treat and I personally would make this an occasional treat instead of a constant one.
Training Potential(3/10): Only so many tricks can be offered before they’ll be asking for a taste. If you cut it up you have a higher potential but it gets rather gummy after a bit of chewing so it’s not ideal to re-grab.
Cost: I have no idea of the cost to be honest, it’s not offered on Amazon and it was a gift. I believe it was gotten at an every day store(Target maybe?) and that it was on sale. I’m guessing it’s under $5 normally.
Bottom Line: This lasted longer than expected, way longer. I also didn’t notice any tummy upsets from her and she had a blast so I’d say it’s a worthwhile treat.
Note: Caution should always be used when introducing a new food item into a dogs diet. The recommendations on this page are not issued from a vet and I have no experience or knowledge in animal nutrition. My analysis is based purely on my relationship with my dog and I’ve trusted the packaging to be accurate as to the impact it will have on my dogs health. If your dog has special needs, please consult a vet before introducing any treats into their diet, regardless of my recommendations.
