Dog Emotion and Cognition – Duke University (through Coursera)

An on-line course offered for free from Dr. Hare (the gentleman introduced in last weeks review with the cognition book), Dog Emotion and Cognition offers 10-15 hours of lectures and “assignments” which leads to either an understanding of your dog(for free) OR that AND a certificate showing you did the course.

I ended up opting into getting the certificate though you get no additional learning from it.  I also haven’t subscribed to his Dognition website yet though I’d like to.

Earth Rated – PoopBags Dispenser

I’ve reviewed Earth Rated PoopBags before and found them to be my poop bag of choice and now I’m trying the dispenser bags with the dispenser.

The dispenser comes with a pack of 15 bags in it that are lavender scented but I’m not going to focus on that too much because I have talked about their lavender scented bags before here.

Hula Hoop

The first toy that I’m reviewing that is purely for interactive play, it’s about time!  I’m reviewing the hula hoop – a toy that we all know from our childhood.

Just a quick note for this review: make sure when using this that you take your dogs health into mind.  Keep the hoop low so that the dog doesn’t hurt their joints and if your pup is young(under around 18 months) don’t jump too much.  Jumps shouldn’t be more than around elbow height for the vast majority of dogs.  As always talk to your vet if you’re unsure if this is a toy for you.
